Ports de les Illes Balears has officially opened the application period for temporary commercial activity permits for vessels engaged in tourist or recreational passenger transport within the public port domain. These permits cover activities such as mooring, and the boarding and disembarking of passengers.

Eligible applicants include individuals or companies that held a valid authorisation during the previous year, are up to date with all applicable fees, and have complied with the conditions of their prior permit. Renewing applicants retain priority for the same mooring point or space used in the previous season.

The application window remains open until December 31, 2025, and all requests must be processed exclusively through the PortsIB electronic office. Submitting after the deadline results in losing priority, and the mooring will then be allocated through a public tender.

Additionally, according to administrative regulations, any application submitted in person must later be corrected electronically, with the digital submission date considered the official filing date. This process ensures continuity for commercial operators and an organised management of the Balearic port public domain.
