The first edition of the Tourism, Enogastronomy and Local Produce Conference will take place on 26–27 November at Son Mir (Palma). The initiative aims to reinforce collaboration between local producers and the tourism industry, promoting a more authentic, sustainable and competitive enogastronomic offering in the Balearic Islands.

Organised by the regional departments of Tourism, Culture and Sports together with Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment, the conference carries the slogan “Connecting producers and tourism to taste the Balearic Islands”.

During the presentation, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Jaume Bauzà, emphasised that local products play a key role in strengthening the identity of the islands as a destination. He noted that fostering links between producers and tourism businesses supports a more sustainable and diversified model.

New Tourism and Local Produce Conference Strengthens Links Between Producers and the Tourism Sector

The Director General of Agri-Food Quality and Local Produce, Joan Llabrés, highlighted that the conference offers an important opportunity to showcase the work of the primary sector and to deepen cooperation between producers and tourism.

The event will bring together producers, chefs, tourism companies, cooperatives and other stakeholders, creating a collaborative space to encourage the inclusion of local products in hotels, restaurants and tourism establishments.

The programme features talks, round tables, workshops and a “speed dating” area to facilitate direct contact between producers and businesses.

The initiative is part of the Balearic Islands Enogastronomy Plan, developed by AETIB and funded through Next Generation EU funds. Attendance is free but requires registration.
