IB Digital installs a TetraIB antenna in Portinatx to strengthen connectivity and emergency security on Ibiza’s northern coast
With this upgrade, Local Police, emergency services, medical teams, firefighters, forest units, the Maritime Civil Guard and Sea Rescue will benefit from more reliable group communication, encrypted channels and direct device-to-device connectivity when the terrain makes signal relay difficult.
The initiative forms part of a broader expansion plan that will increase Ibiza’s emergency network from seven to twenty-one stations, bringing operational coverage close to 90% of the island. The long-term vision is for local authorities to adopt TetraIB as their main communication system, improving coordination while reducing overall costs.
