The improvements include a renewed video-surveillance system, new specialised machinery, and a redesign of the livestock areas, now separated into dedicated spaces for sheep and pigs. These actions were supported by council funding and additional contributions from Fogaiba grants, helping to modernise the infrastructure and raise the quality standards of the service.

In addition, both institutions plan to sign a new agreement in the coming days through which the Island Council will provide €50,000 to support the city council’s ongoing efforts to upgrade municipal services. With these initiatives, the authorities reaffirm their commitment to ensuring that local public facilities remain modern, safe and well-maintained.
