The Consell de Mallorca took part this week in Spain Talks: Caring for the Future, an international forum held in Paris at the OECD headquarters, Château de la Muette. The event, organised by Turespaña through its Paris Office, brought together global experts to discuss the challenges facing the tourism industry and promote a more sustainable and socially responsible model that balances economic growth, environmental protection and community wellbeing.

Mallorca’s contribution to the international discussion

Marco Taboas, the Island Director of Tourism for Demand and Hospitality, participated in the round table “Technologies for Efficient Destination and Tourism Structure Management.” In his speech, he presented Mallorca’s tourism strategy, which focuses on digitalisation, efficient destination management and policies designed to encourage harmony between residents and visitors. He also stressed the importance of collaboration among public administrations, private companies and international organisations to develop shared solutions.
