The Balearic Housing Institute (IBAVI) has transferred two residential units in Inca to the Patronat Joan XXIII Foundation to provide housing and basic support for people with intellectual disabilities. This agreement renews the collaboration originally established between both organisations in 2010.

The homes, each measuring 90 m² and featuring two and three bedrooms as well as parking spaces, will be used for supervised living programs. These spaces aim to help residents develop personal and social autonomy. The foundation will oversee the administration and daily management of both properties. The agreement will last four years, with the possibility of a four-year extension.

IBAVI Grants Two Homes in Inca to the Patronat Joan XXIII Foundation to Support People with Intellectual Disabilities

With this new assignment, IBAVI now counts 47 homes specifically dedicated to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities, and 193 homes under agreements with social organisations and public institutions. These accommodations support vulnerable groups, including people in emergency housing situations, at-risk youth, women who have experienced gender-based violence, and individuals with disabilities.

The Patronat Joan XXIII Foundation, established in 1975, is a nonprofit organisation that provides services and support to people with intellectual disabilities and their families throughout all stages of life, promoting their overall wellbeing and quality of life.
