Inca presents a €42.6 million budget for 2026 with greater investment, expanded services and zero debt

Although the budget represents a slight decrease of 2.02% compared to 2025, it strengthens essential services, expands municipal staffing and allocates more than €4 million to transformative investments. The document reaffirms the municipality’s commitment to residents’ well-being and to the improvement of public services and urban spaces.

€4.1 million for strategic investments

The plan allocates €4,107,901.09 to real investments focused on projects that modernise and enhance the city. These include €1.5 million for the renovation and beautification of the area surrounding the Teatre Principal, including the creation of a new square.

Additional funds include €900,000 for expanding the municipal cemetery with 480 new niches; €750,000 for improvements to the water cycle such as digital meters and network renewal; and €100,000 for repainting and reinforcing road signage. Subsidy programmes for façade rehabilitation and neighbourhood improvements continue, each with €150,000.

A further €175,000 is set aside for the next phase of purchasing shares of the Constància football ground.

Focus on community well-being

Municipal services will be reinforced, with a major increase in essential contracts. Street-cleaning services rise from €2 million to €2.75 million. The summer school budget grows by €45,000 and sports supervision by €140,000.

More staff and improved working conditions

The budget includes new positions to strengthen citizen services and essential municipal functions: 4 cleaning posts, 4 early-childhood educators and 1 teacher for the Toninaina Nursery School, plus an administrative assistant and a senior public-services officer.

Salary improvements are also included for cleaning staff and brigades, along with adjustments resulting from updated job evaluations.

Stable finances and zero debt

Current income rises to €41 million, a 7.76% increase driven by higher revenue collection and increased participation in state taxes. This represents an additional €2,954,385.40 compared to the previous year.

For the eleventh consecutive year, Inca will maintain zero municipal debt, enabling stable investment planning without resorting to borrowing.
