Opening with the energy of “Raise the Roof”

The concert will begin with Raise the Roof by American composer Michael Daugherty, a vibrant and powerful piece in which percussion takes centre stage. For this performance, the OSIB will be joined by renowned percussion soloist Javier Eguillor, who will bring his exceptional technique and expressive drive to this demanding score.

Lutosławski’s masterful Concerto for Orchestra

The second half of the evening will feature the Concerto for Orchestra by Polish composer Witold Lutosławski, a masterpiece noted for its structural clarity, rich orchestral colour and high technical demands.
