The Directorate-General for Housing and Architecture has completed the seventh and final payment of the 2024 rental assistance programme, distributing close to €9.3 million and shortening processing and payment times compared with previous editions.

The resolution, published in early December, brings to an end a payment cycle that in earlier years had extended much longer. This final round includes 140 recipients and a total amount exceeding €318,000. Full details of the programme are available on the official portal ajudeslloguer.caib.es.

Final Round of 2024 Rental Assistance Completed After Significant Reduction in Processing Times

Over the course of the 2024 call, the scheme has supported 3,942 households with a combined total of €9,262,581.95. Mallorca received the largest share of the funds, followed by Menorca, Eivissa and Formentera.

The programme maintains a maximum eligible rent of €900 per month, in accordance with national criteria. Even so, the regional administration has requested that this limit be revised upward as part of the forthcoming 2026–2030 State Housing Plan, with the aim of aligning it with current market conditions and expanding access to the aid.
