The Higher Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands (CSMIB), part of the Ministry of Education and Universities, will host a new edition of its Excellentia programme on December 11, 12 and 13, 2025. This year’s event welcomes two internationally acclaimed musicians: mezzo-soprano and stage director Charlotte Hellekant, and contemporary saxophone specialist Marie-Bernadette Charrier.
The sessions, which are open to the public, will take place in various rooms of the conservatory. Charlotte Hellekant —renowned for performances at the Metropolitan Opera, Berlin Staatsoper and Paris Bastille— combines her operatic career with stage direction and mental skills coaching for performers. Trained at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Eastman School of Music, she has received major international awards and worked with esteemed conductors such as Sir Georg Solti and Valery Gergiev.
