Mallorca’s Island Council has unveiled the 2025 “Christmas at Raixa” program, a seasonal initiative that blends traditional craft workshops with a festive choral concert. The activities, organised by the Department of Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports, will take place from December 12 to 20 at the historic Raixa estate in Bunyola.
Deputy Vice President and Minister Pedro Bestard emphasised that the goal is to preserve Mallorca’s customs during the holiday season and encouraged the public to enjoy the landmark estate with family and friends.

The program begins on December 12 at 6:00 PM with the “Taller d’olives trempades”, where participants will learn how to prepare Mallorca’s traditional seasoned olives and visit the estate’s old olive press.
On December 13 at 11:00 AM, the “Coca de Nadal Workshop” will teach attendees how to bake this classic Christmas sweet made from almonds, citrus and sugar. The session also includes a tour of Raixa’s almond groves.
The festivities will conclude on December 20 at noon with a free performance by the Youth Choir of the Teatre Principal, who will present a selection of traditional Christmas pieces in Raixa’s courtyard.
All these activities form part of the year-round program “From Raixa’s Fields to Your Home”, which promotes knowledge of the estate’s traditional crops. Raixa’s gardens have held the European Cultural Itinerary of Historic Gardens certification since 2021 due to their historical and artistic significance.
