The documentary “Maura en 10 traços” has been presented at CaixaForum Palma as a tribute to Antoni Maura Montaner (1853–1925), one of the most influential political figures in the modern history of Mallorca and Spain.
This screening marked the first public showing of the documentary, a collaborative production involving the Institute of Balearic Studies (IEB), IB3 Radiotelevisió de les Illes Balears, and Nova Producciones. The event was attended by the film’s director, David Mataró, along with institutional and cultural representatives connected to the project.
The documentary provides a rigorous and balanced overview of Antoni Maura’s complex political and personal career. Through in-depth interviews with historians, political scientists, academics and family members, it explores the life of a statesman who served as Prime Minister of Spain on five occasions.
