Menorca’s Vehicle Inspection Service (ITV) has introduced an extraordinary reinforcement plan to ensure continuity and improve the appointment system in response to the high demand recorded in recent weeks. The operating company maintains a stable team of inspectors at the island’s stations, distributed as follows:
- Maó ITV Station: 7 inspectors
- Ciutadella ITV Station: 4 inspectors
Additionally, starting February 1st, qualified inspectors from mainland Spain will be incorporated progressively, travelling regularly to the island until the local workforce is fully stabilised.
To better manage user requests and streamline appointment scheduling, a temporary procedure has been implemented. It will remain active while the current high demand persists:

Appointment Management and Priority
All requests received through the call center will be included in a list, and appointments will be assigned based on priority criteria:
- Vehicles with an expired inspection
- Vehicles nearing their ITV deadline
Users may request a proof-of-appointment request, sent via email or collected at the station.
The service reminds users that the booked licence plate must match the vehicle undergoing inspection, otherwise the service will be denied.
Essential Vehicles
Priority access will be given to:
- Ambulances
- Fire services
- Public emergency services
- Police and security forces
Professional services that fail to attend their assigned appointments must reschedule exclusively through the call center.
