Mallorca has completed a new toy collection campaign in support of the Monti-Sion Solidària Foundation, with strong community participation. For several weeks, different public buildings across the island served as donation points, enabling residents, organisations, and workers to contribute toys for children living in vulnerable situations.
Thanks to this response, nearly 1,500 toys have been collected and will bring joy to hundreds of families this holiday season.

Mallorca joins Monti-Sion Solidària to ensure every child receives a toy this Christmas
The official handover took place at the foundation’s headquarters, where island president Llorenç Galmés praised the generosity shown:
“Mallorca is a caring and supportive island. Thanks to so many people, these holidays will be brighter for many children.”
Also present were Antoni Fuster, head of the Presidency area, and Guillermo Sánchez, responsible for Social Welfare, accompanied by Blai Vidal, representative of Monti-Sion Solidària. Vidal highlighted the importance of public support: “This collaboration is essential. It helps us reach more families and reinforces a necessary message: no child should be left without hope at Christmas.”
The collected toys form part of the annual programme “Cap infant sense jugueta”, through which the foundation works all year round. Volunteers carefully sort, check and prepare each toy before distribution.
The traditional toy exhibition on 3 January will allow families to choose their gifts in person.
