SERÉ Scholarships Reach a Record High with Nearly 1,300 Beneficiaries and Over €15 Million in Funding

Each scholarship provides €12,000 per year, reinforcing a programme that has grown significantly since its launch in 2022. In just three years, SERÉ scholarships have increased tenfold in both funding and beneficiaries, rising from 245 grants and €1.6 million to current levels.

Beyond financial support, the programme also offers personalised academic mentoring through the Centre for Legal Studies, involving active professionals from the judicial and prosecutorial careers, particularly for recipients under the mixed support scheme combining financial aid and in-kind training.

This call further strengthens the institutional commitment to equal opportunities, ensuring that merit and ability remain the sole criteria for accessing the most demanding positions within the Justice Administration. The SERÉ scholarships will be aligned with the National Minimum Wage and legally safeguarded through a bill currently under parliamentary consideration.
