Seat opens new battery assembly plant in Martorell
The Spanish Government has reaffirmed its strong commitment to the automotive sector, supporting a clear and ambitious transition towards sustainable, connected mobility. Significant financial resources have been deployed to ensure a comprehensive transformation of the industrial production model.
More than €4.5 billion has already been allocated through various support schemes, complemented by an additional €6 billion under the Spain Auto 2030 Plan. Through these programmes, Seat has received over €97 million in public funding, mainly through different calls of the Strategic Project for Electric and Connected Vehicles (PERTE VEC).
The new battery assembly plant is a strategic milestone that reinforces Martorell’s role as a major automotive hub in Europe and confirms Seat’s position as a leading player in the mobility solutions of the future.
