The island administration of Menorca has approved a collaboration agreement with the Ciutadella Nautical Club to support the publication of a commemorative book marking the club’s centenary. The initiative aims to recognise more than one hundred years of dedication to nautical sports and maritime culture on the island.
The agreement includes a financial contribution of €10,000 towards the publication of 1,000 copies of the book, covering 60.50% of the total projected cost. The project seeks to highlight the history, legacy and social contribution of an institution deeply rooted in Ciutadella and throughout Menorca.
Founded in 1923, the Ciutadella Nautical Club is a long-established sporting and social organisation. It currently has over 700 members, six sporting sections, sailing and canoeing schools, and organises numerous regattas and competitions, making it a key reference point for nautical sports in Menorca.

According to the island authorities, this support reflects a commitment to long-standing local organisations that form part of Menorca’s social, cultural and sporting heritage, helping to preserve their history and share their contribution with future generations.
