Mallorca strengthens its international profile as a leading hub for professional cycling and year-round active tourism

The women’s competition will open the programme, taking place from 24 to 26 January and featuring three trophies across different routes on the island. Top international women’s teams will start their season in Mallorca, further reinforcing its status as a preferred destination for elite cycling.

From 28 January to 1 February, the men’s event will follow, marking its 35th edition. The race will include five trophies, with stages ranging from team time trials to challenging mountain finishes and iconic coastal routes, once again attracting some of the world’s leading professional teams and riders.

Extensive live television coverage

As in previous editions, the event will benefit from broad international television exposure. Stage finishes from both the women’s and men’s races will be broadcast live on Max, Discovery, Eurosport and Teledeporte, ensuring wide international visibility for the competition and for Mallorca as a destination.

In addition, regional broadcaster IB3 will stream stage finishes online and include live or delayed coverage within its news programming, bringing the event closer to local audiences.

Sport as a driver of year-round tourism

Institutional representatives highlighted that high-profile sporting events such as this one play a key role in consolidating Mallorca as an international benchmark for professional cycling and in strengthening its position as a year-round active tourism destination. Hosting competitions during the winter months contributes to economic activity, job creation and global visibility at a strategic time for the tourism sector.

The event also helps showcase the island’s territorial diversity and brings elite sport closer to residents, while offering added value to visitors during the winter season..
