Economist and former international executive Marcos de Quinto has been chosen as the keynote speaker for the Menorca Day – Sant Antoni celebrations, which will take place on 17 January during a special institutional session.

His talk will focus on the housing issue, approaching it from a liberal standpoint, and will form part of the official programme marking this significant day for the island. With a background in econometrics and an MBA, Marcos de Quinto has built an extensive career in the business world, spending over three decades in a leading multinational company where he held senior executive roles at both European and global levels.

His professional profile also includes public service experience, having served in the Spanish Parliament with responsibilities related to economic and consumer affairs, before stepping away from active politics in 2020. He has also served on boards of directors, led professional associations and worked as a strategic advisor.

Alongside his professional career, he is the author of publications on management and literature, and is a regular contributor to public debate through media commentary.

His participation in Menorca Day is expected to provide valuable insight into the housing debate during a day of strong institutional significance for the island.
