Hernando Rayo resigns as Managing Director of the Balearic Energy Institute

The Balearic Energy Institute has confirmed a change in its leadership following the voluntary resignation of its Managing Director, Hernando Rayo. The decision was formalised in early January and approved by the institute’s governing body in accordance with established procedures.

The resignation was endorsed during a meeting held on 2 January 2026, after a proposal submitted by the institute’s presidency. In line with public sector regulations, the end of the appointment was subsequently reported to the relevant governmental authorities.
