Mallorca is expanding its family fostering information sessions this year to make them more accessible and reach a wider audience interested in child protection measures. In addition to the sessions already held in Palma, new meetings will now take place in Inca and Manacor.
The sessions will continue to be held monthly, following a fixed schedule: the second Monday of each month in Palma, the first Monday in Inca, and the third Monday in Manacor. All sessions will start at 1:00 p.m., and no prior appointment will be required to attend.

Mallorca expands family fostering information sessions to Inca and Manacor
These talks are aimed at individuals and families who want to learn about family fostering, the different types available and how they can provide a temporary home for children and adolescents who are unable to live with their biological families.
Social services professionals highlight that family fostering plays a crucial role in ensuring children grow up in a safe, caring and family-based environment, and stress the ongoing need for new foster families, whether for emergency, short-term or long-term placements.
By extending the sessions to different areas of the island, the initiative seeks to remove geographical barriers, bring information closer to the public and strengthen a supportive network that has a direct positive impact on children’s emotional well-being and development.
