The manufacturing sector will receive a major boost towards cleaner production methods with the launch of a new funding call focused on industrial decarbonisation, backed by nearly €330 million. The initiative forms part of strategic programmes aimed at supporting the green transition and strengthening industrial competitiveness.
The grants are designed to support high-impact projects targeting operational industrial facilities to achieve substantial reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. Eligible installations may be either covered or not covered by emissions trading schemes.

New funding call allocates €330 million to accelerate industrial decarbonisation
Funded actions include process electrification, the integration of hydrogen as an energy source, the deployment of advanced energy management systems, reduced consumption of natural resources and the use of carbon capture technologies, among other clean solutions.
Public and private companies, as well as eligible business groupings, may apply for the grants. Approved projects will have up to five years to implement the authorised investments, providing sufficient time for large-scale industrial transformations.
The application window will open in early February for a limited period, in line with the planned rollout of funding designed to modernise industry and speed up the transition to a low-carbon economy.
