The Government of the Balearic Islands has launched a new call for applications for the Ibexlocal programme, an initiative aimed at enhancing the display and commercial appeal of locally produced goods.
The programme is managed by the Balearic Islands Regional Development Agency (ADRBalears) and promoted by the Ministry of Business, Self-Employed and Energy. It provides tailored exhibition design services to help local products become more competitive in the marketplace.
As part of the initiative, ADRBalears’ technical staff, specialised in interior and exhibition design, visit the premises, assess existing shortcomings and develop proposals to improve the layout and presentation of the products on display.
The programme targets self-employed professionals and companies that manufacture or sell products made in the Balearic Islands and have an exhibition space, whether in retail premises, industrial facilities or stands for local, national or international trade fairs.

New Call Launched to Improve the Display and Sale of Local Products
One of Ibexposalocal’s main goals is to increase the visibility of local products through visual merchandising techniques, improved product placement and compositional studies designed to boost sales.
To date, more than 90 businesses and self-employed professionals have joined the programme. Last year alone, 20 new companies enrolled, mainly from the agri-food sector (40%), crafts (30%) and industry (25%). Around 50% of participants have already implemented the proposals developed by the technical team.
