The Consell de Mallorca has successfully concluded the 2025 edition of the program “Viu el patrimoni de la Serra de Tramuntana”, an initiative designed to promote the cultural heritage and local gastronomy of the Serra de Tramuntana, reaching around 200 participants through ten activities held across the island.

The program took place alongside local municipal fairs, where an information stand dedicated to the Serra de Tramuntana served as a meeting point for guided cultural visits and tastings of locally certified products.

Its main purpose was to raise awareness of the cultural, historical, and landscape values that led to the Serra de Tramuntana being declared a World Heritage Site, while also supporting local producers and traditional goods.

The activities began in April in Andratx and continued throughout the year in towns such as Estellencs, Palma, Selva, Deià, Alaró, Caimari, and Bunyola. Participants enjoyed a wide range of experiences, including heritage walks, literary routes, gastronomic workshops, and educational talks.

Highlights included guided tours through historic landscapes, hands-on food workshops, and tastings of wines, olive-based products, and citrus fruits traditionally grown in the Serra de Tramuntana area.

The entire program was coordinated by a cultural management company based in Sóller, recognised for its ongoing work in promoting and preserving the values of the Serra de Tramuntana as a World Heritage cultural landscape.

With this second edition, the Consell de Mallorca strengthens its commitment to bringing heritage closer to the public, encouraging sustainable cultural tourism and reinforcing the connection between people, territory, and tradition.
