The Balearic Islands Ministry of Education and Universities, through the Directorate-General for Vocational Training and Educational Planning, will open registration on Monday, 26 January, for the 2026 free Bachillerato examination.
The registration period will run from 26 January to 9 February 2026, inclusive. The examination is aimed at adults aged 20 and over who wish to obtain the Bachillerato qualification directly, without enrolling in formal upper secondary education.

Registration opens for the 2026 free Bachillerato examination in the Balearic Islands. Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be 20 years old or turn 20 during the calendar year in which the examination takes place.
- Reside in the Balearic Islands.
- Not hold a Bachillerato certificate, nor any equivalent or officially recognised qualification, in accordance with Spanish education law.
- Not be enrolled in any Bachillerato programme or modality.
Examination dates and venues
The examinations will take place on 14, 15 and 16 April 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., at the following locations:
- Palma: IES Ses Estacions
- Ciutadella: IES Maria Àngels Cardona
- Eivissa: IES Santa Maria d’Eivissa
Available examination tracks
Candidates may choose one of the following tracks:
- Arts
- Science and Technology
- General
- Humanities and Social Sciences
