The Consell de Mallorca has opened the pre-registration period for a new edition of the Senior Stays Programme, which returns in 2026 with an enhanced range of activities and a revised calendar designed to reach more people throughout the year.
The first round will take place in two sessions, from 23 to 25 March and from 25 to 27 March, at the Hotel Blau Colònia Sant Jordi, offering a total of 1,000 places for residents of Mallorca aged 60 and over. Places will be allocated in two groups of 500 participants, and each selected applicant will be entitled to attend with a companion.
The programme offers three days of shared experiences in a setting that combines leisure time with a comprehensive schedule of physical, cultural and recreational activities tailored to participants’ needs. Activities include hiking, Nordic walking, yoga, fitness and Pilates, alongside a wide variety of dance options such as traditional folk dancing, ballroom dancing, sevillanas, world dances and line dancing. The programme is further enriched with musical bingo, board games, a card game tournament, health-related talks and evening entertainment with live music.

Seniors return with an expanded activity programme and 1,000 places available in March
As a new organisational approach, the programme will no longer be limited to a single period of the year. Following the March stays, a second call with an additional 1,000 places is planned for October in Cala Mandia, thereby expanding availability and enabling greater participation.
The Councillor for the Presidency, Toni Fuster, has emphasised that these stays go beyond a simple hotel break, offering a meaningful experience that promotes active ageing, social interaction and personal well-being. He also noted that participants in previous editions have expressed strong appreciation for the opportunity to step away from daily routines, meet new people and enjoy a dynamic and enriching programme.
The initiative is funded at 75% by the island institution, with a participant contribution of €84.10 per person, based on an all-inclusive package in a double room. Pre-registrations must be submitted through the Consell de Mallorca’s electronic platform, and places will be allocated by public draw among all eligible applications, scheduled for 17 February.
