The Servicio de Salud de las Illes Balears has approved a competitive examination process to fill 106 permanent statutory staff positions across 14 professional categories. This recruitment process forms part of the public employment offers for 2023, 2024 and 2025 and is aimed at strengthening job stability within the public healthcare system.
Of the total number of positions, 87 will be allocated through open competition, while 19 will be reserved for internal promotion. In addition, 7% of the positions are set aside for candidates with a recognised disability, reflecting the commitment to equal opportunities, inclusion and fair access to public employment.

The official resolution approving the call, regulatory framework, examination board, assessment tests, syllabus and merit-based scoring system has been published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands. Applications may be submitted from 1 February 2026 until 3 March 2026 inclusive. Full details of each category, along with guidance and tools for electronic registration, are available on the official website of the Health Service.
The positions on offer cover a wide range of healthcare and non-healthcare professional profiles, including specialist physicians, technical staff, social care professionals, therapists, administrative personnel and support staff, contributing to the reinforcement of both clinical and operational areas within the public health network.
Through this recruitment process, the Health Service continues to implement measures to reduce temporary employment and consolidate permanent staffing structures, with the aim of improving workforce stability, enhancing human resources planning and ensuring high-quality healthcare services for the population.
