Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB), a public body under the authority of the Conselleria del Mar y del Ciclo del Agua of the Govern de les Illes Balears, has approved the payment corresponding to cleaning services provided at facilities, terminals and the public port domain of the directly managed ports of Eivissa (Lot 3).
The decision acknowledges the provision of an essential service that was delivered continuously between 16 November 2023 and 2 December 2025, following the expiration of the previous contract extension and until the entry into force of the new contract on 3 December 2025. The continuation of the service was deemed necessary for reasons of public interest, ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of port infrastructures throughout the transition period.

The Ports de les Illes Balears approves payment to ensure the continuity of cleaning services in the ports of Eivissa
The services were carried out by the Port Sant Antoni joint venture, formed by Urbaser and Serveis Industrials Reunits, applying the same unit prices as those established in the previous contract, including the awarded discount. According to the corresponding technical report, the services were performed correctly and were received satisfactorily by PortsIB.
The total approved amount stands at €380,583.40, VAT included, charged to the current budgets of PortsIB.
Through this approval, PortsIB ensures the continuity of a fundamental service in the ports of Eivissa and guarantees the proper maintenance of port facilities during the contractual transition period, safeguarding service quality and operational standards.
