Pedro Siquier Gutiérrez has taken up his position as Managing Director of the Balearic School of Public Administration (EBAP) following his appointment by the regional government, succeeding Violeta Rodríguez, who previously combined this role with her responsibilities as Director General for the Civil Service.

The new Managing Director begins his mandate to strengthen collaboration with the Directorate General for the Civil Service and advance the implementation of the EBAP Strategic Plan, whose primary objective is to reduce temporary employment and modernise public sector workforce management.

Key challenges for the new leadership include shortening the duration of recruitment processes to a maximum of one year through a stable schedule of examinations and competitive selection procedures. The plan includes the organisation of 61 examinations linked to the 2025 recruitment calls, enabling the filling of a total of 571 public sector positions.

In parallel, the EBAP will promote initiatives aimed at attracting young talent, with a particular focus on guidance, outreach, and engagement activities within the university environment, encouraging new generations to pursue careers in public administration.

With this appointment, the Balearic School of Public Administration strengthens its strategic role in training, recruitment, and professional development, contributing to a more efficient, stable, and future-oriented public service.
