The Ministry for Families, Social Welfare and Dependency Care has confirmed that employees of the Foundation for Dependency Care will receive the salary increase corresponding to the year 2025 in their February payroll, in accordance with the agreement reached within the framework of the TAMIB.

During a parliamentary session, Minister Sandra Fernández formally apologised for the one-month delay in implementing the agreement, a long-standing salary increase claimed by workers since 2019. The payment represents 33.33% of the total increase agreed for 2025 and was finalised last October.

In order to offset the delay, the Ministry has announced additional financial measures that will allow payments originally scheduled for the coming months to be brought forward to February. These include the payment of 35% stemming from the court ruling on salary freezes in 2020 and 2021, as well as back pay linked to the 2.5% salary increase set for 2025.

It was also confirmed that the revised implementation timetable will ensure that the March payroll includes 73.33% of the salary increase agreed for 2026, together with the corresponding back pay for January and February of that year.

The Minister conveyed a message of reassurance to the workforce, emphasising that these measures ensure full compliance with the commitments undertaken and represent the restoration of labour rights that had been reduced in previous years. She also highlighted the progress achieved through social dialogue and structural improvements such as enhanced island allowances and additional compensation for positions considered difficult or very difficult to staff, particularly in residential care facilities in Ibiza.
