The first group of participants in the “Joves a la Neu” programme has begun its journey to Andorra, marking the start of a new edition of this initiative aimed at young people from Mallorca. This departure opens a programme of activities scheduled throughout February, involving more than 250 participants across four separate groups.
The programme is aimed at young adults aged between 18 and 30 who are residents of Mallorca and includes stays of six days and five nights in a mountain environment. During the experience, participants engage in skiing and snowboarding, while also taking part in shared activities that promote social interaction, teamwork and personal development beyond their usual surroundings.
The high level of demand recorded this year highlights the growing popularity of the initiative. More than 2,000 applications were submitted for the 260 available places, confirming the programme’s consolidation as a benchmark activity for young people on the island. The organisers have emphasised the importance of these experiences in encouraging healthy lifestyles and positive social relationships through sport and shared living.

Over 250 young people take part in the third edition of the “Joves a la Neu” programme
Places were allocated through a public draw among all applicants who met the established requirements, ensuring equal opportunities and transparency in access to the programme. Both selected participants and those placed on the waiting list were duly informed within the scheduled timeframe via official communication channels.
The four groups have been organised according to age ranges to enhance group cohesion and ensure a more enriching experience. Each stay is supervised by monitors and coordinators who accompany the participants throughout the programme, ensuring the smooth running of activities and the safety and well-being of all those involved.
