The Auto+ programme has been launched as a new support instrument for the purchase of electric and electrified vehicles, offering financial incentives of up to €4,500 per transaction. The initiative forms part of the Auto 2030 Plan and reflects the commitment of the Gobierno de España to accelerate the automotive sector’s transition towards sustainable mobility.

The programme will be managed by the Ministerio de Industria y Turismo and is backed by a total budget of €400 million for 2026. It is designed to continue demand-stimulation policies implemented in previous years, while introducing a specific focus on promoting vehicle production within Europe and Spain.

The Auto+ programme boosts electric vehicle purchases with grants of up to €4,500

Auto+ aims to make electric mobility more accessible to consumers, while simultaneously supporting industrial transformation and strengthening the competitiveness of the automotive sector. The incentives apply to the purchase of electric and electrified vehicles, contributing to emissions reduction and the development of a cleaner and more efficient transport model.

The programme includes retroactive eligibility for purchases made from 1 January 2026 onwards, allowing transactions completed earlier in the year to benefit from the scheme. This approach broadens the scope of the incentives and provides greater certainty for individuals and organisations that have already opted for electric mobility.

Through this initiative, Auto+ positions itself as a key element of the national sustainable mobility strategy, combining direct demand support with industrial development objectives and the broader goals of the energy transition.
