Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB), the public body attached to the Regional Ministry of the Sea and the Water Cycle, has approved an update to the tariffs for basic port services at the outer port of Ciutadella. The revised fees will apply to towage, pilotage, and mooring and unmooring services, and will come into effect on 1 January 2026.
The tariff adjustments range between 3.1% and 4.9%, in line with variations in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). This revision aims to ensure maritime safety, maintain service quality, and guarantee the continuity of essential port operations supporting navigation and port traffic.

PortsIB updates basic port service tariffs at the Port of Ciutadella
The update is implemented in accordance with the technical specifications governing port services and within the regulatory powers granted to PortsIB under the current legal framework applicable to ports in the Balearic Islands.
Specifically, towage services will see a 3.1% increase, with indicative rates of approximately €30 for preventive assistance and around €240 for full stand-by and towing operations. Pilotage services are also adjusted by 3.1%, resulting in reference fees of approximately €105 for small and medium-sized vessels. Meanwhile, mooring and unmooring services will increase by 4.9%, setting the indicative tariff for vessels of up to 10,000 GT at around €69.
These adjustments are applied under principles of transparency, proportionality, and operational sustainability, ensuring the effective delivery of services that are essential to the safe and efficient operation of the Port of Ciutadella.
The updated tariffs will be officially published on the PortsIB website and in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands.
