PortsIB approves the extension of the contract for the maintenance of mooring systems in the ports of western Mallorca

Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB) has approved the extension of the service contract for the comprehensive maintenance of mooring systems and underwater structures in the ports under direct management in the western Mallorca area. This decision ensures the continuity of essential maintenance operations for port infrastructure.

The contract, originally awarded to Servicios Profesionales Submarinos, SL, will be extended for an additional period of twelve months and fifteen days, from 17 December 2025 to 31 December 2026, in accordance with the terms set out in the tender specifications.

The total budget for the extension amounts to €155,683.39, VAT included, with €27,019.43 corresponding to VAT. Expenditure will be allocated across two financial years, with €6,145.39 charged to 2025 and €149,538.00 to 2026.

The extension is supported by a favourable technical report confirming the satisfactory performance of the service to date. This measure will help maintain safety, operational efficiency and the proper conservation of port facilities, reinforcing the reliability of the maritime infrastructure managed by the Govern de les Illes Balears
