The Can Marines agricultural experimentation farm, managed by the Island Council of Ibiza, concluded 2025 with a strong social impact, distributing more than 24,000 kilograms of fresh fruit and vegetables to social organisations, educational centres and care facilities across the island.
This initiative reflects Can Marines’ commitment to promoting healthy, locally sourced food, ensuring access to fresh produce for both adults and children. Throughout the year, agricultural output from the farm was channelled into solidarity actions, charitable events and regular supplies for a range of community services.

Key recipients included social support organisations, childcare centres run by the Island Council, and the Cas Serres residential care facility, helping to enhance the nutritional quality of meals provided in these institutions.
The distributed produce covered a wide range of seasonal fruits and vegetables, including citrus fruits, courgettes, melons, watermelons, cabbages, onions, garlic and potatoes, showcasing the agricultural diversity of the farm. A substantial portion of the harvest, particularly citrus fruit, was allocated to food assistance programmes supporting individuals and families facing vulnerable situations.
Through this ongoing work, Can Marines strengthens its role as a centre for agricultural development and as an active contributor to social well-being, encouraging the consumption of local produce and reinforcing community support networks throughout Ibiza.
