Ibiza will temporarily close Sa Nostra Sala in order to carry out maintenance and improvement works to its exhibition facilities. The venue will be closed to the public from Monday, 26 January, until Tuesday, 3 March, during which time a series of technical upgrades will be undertaken.
According to the Department of Culture, Education and Heritage, the planned works include general repairs, painting, and improvements to the lighting and climate control systems. These measures are intended to adapt the space after a year of intensive use and to continue offering high-quality facilities for both artists and audiences.

Ibiza to temporarily close Sa Nostra Sala to upgrade its exhibition facilities
The temporary closure follows a particularly active cultural year in 2025, during which Sa Nostra Sala significantly increased its programme. Efforts were made to optimise the use of the venue by expanding the number of exhibitions, shortening installation and dismantling periods, and boosting complementary cultural activities such as talks, book launches, catalogue publications and small-scale concerts.
Over the course of 2025, the venue hosted a total of 16 exhibitions and 22 cultural events, showcasing initiatives that highlighted Ibiza’s artistic heritage, local creators, photographic exhibitions, commemorative projects and works linked to memory, landscape and island culture.
Sa Nostra Sala is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, 3 March at 8:00 p.m., coinciding with the opening of the next planned exhibition and marking the return of cultural activity to a refurbished and enhanced exhibition space.
