Representatives from Baleària, Transmed and GNV attended the meeting. The Council explained that cameras will be installed at the main vehicle entry and exit points identified in the carrying capacity study, specifically at access points to the ports of Maó and Ciutadella.

The system will enable effective monitoring of vehicle flows, the collection of objective data and a rigorous assessment of the vehicle limitation measures. According to the Island Council, these cameras are a central element of the mobility management system aimed at balancing tourist activity with environmental protection and residents’ quality of life.

Both the President and the Mobility Councillor welcomed the cooperative approach shown by the shipping companies, which have expressed their willingness to collaborate closely with the Island Council throughout the implementation process.
