The Fundación de Atención y Apoyo a la Dependencia y de Promoción de la Autonomía Personal has held, for the first time, a series of working sessions in Ibiza, bringing together the full teams from Mallorca. This initiative represents a milestone in internal coordination and strengthens first-hand knowledge of the resources and care facilities managed by the Foundation on the island.

During the sessions, management teams, centre directors, and staff from administration, finance, infrastructure, human resources, guardianship, and occupational risk prevention visited the Can Raspalls, Can Blai, and Sa Serra residential centres. The main objective was to assess operational and care-related needs on site, particularly in facilities where a significant proportion of the Foundation’s workforce is based.

The meetings enabled progress in improving internal processes and planning priority actions, including necessary investments in facilities, enhancements to management and procurement procedures, reinforcement of occupational risk prevention training, and the consolidation of person-centred care approaches. Reviews of restraint-free care plans and organisational strategies were also carried out.

A key focus of the programme was the analysis and updating of emergency response plans for adverse weather events in residential centres. This work aims to strengthen preparedness and response capacity in the face of extreme weather conditions, ensuring the safety of residents and staff alike.

Through these working sessions, the Foundation reinforces its commitment to continuous improvement in dependency care services, inter-island collaboration, and the delivery of high-quality support to service users.
