The Conselleria de Turismo, Cultura y Deportes has launched a new grant scheme aimed at supporting the acquisition of fixed assets for adaptive sports throughout 2026. With a total budget of €50,000, the initiative seeks to remove financial barriers and facilitate access to specialised equipment for both elite and grassroots adaptive sports in the Balearic Islands.

The grants are open to sports federations, clubs with adaptive sports sections, and athletes with a certified disability of at least 33%, provided they hold a valid sports licence and reside in the Balearic Islands. Each project may receive up to €6,000, with funding covering up to 100% of the total investment cost.

Eligible expenses include non-consumable equipment with a minimum unit cost of €150, encompassing specialised sports gear required for adaptive disciplines, as well as installation and assembly costs. The scheme aims to ensure that access to technical resources does not limit sporting development or competitive participation.

Applications will be assessed through a scoring system that prioritises competitive profile. Higher scores will be awarded to athletes with experience in top-level international competitions and to those officially recognised as High-Level athletes at the national or regional level. At the same time, the framework ensures balanced support for sports clubs and federations, strengthening the adaptive sports ecosystem.

The application period will be open for 20 working days starting from the day following the official publication of the call on 17 February 2026, and submissions must be made exclusively online. Eligible purchases must have been completed between 1 November 2025 and 31 August 2026. Beneficiaries will have until 14 September 2026 to submit supporting documentation, after which the full amount of the approved grant will be paid in a single instalment.
