More than four hundred first-year baccalaureate students from educational centres across Mallorca attended a stage performance of Tirant lo Blanc at the Teatre Xesc Forteza as part of a cultural activity aimed at strengthening literary learning within the school environment. The event was held in two consecutive sessions, each welcoming two hundred students.

This initiative forms part of a wider programme of educational and cultural activities designed to bring literary heritage and the performing arts closer to students, using live performance as a complementary teaching resource. Through a carefully adapted version of the original work, the performance supported reading comprehension and encouraged student engagement with a key text of classical literature.

Students from several secondary schools on the island participated in this shared cultural experience, which complements classroom learning and aligns with the academic curriculum. Teaching staff also took part in the activity, reinforcing the connection between educational objectives and cultural programming.

Through initiatives like this, the education authorities continue to promote projects that enhance students’ overall development, encourage early access to cultural expression and support the transmission of literary heritage to new generations.
