The Consell Insular d’Eivissa has unveiled the new Verified Transport Seal of Ibiza, a strategic initiative designed to identify, promote and support transport services that operate legally, safely and professionally across the island. The aim is to reinforce a more organised, reliable and high-quality mobility model for both residents and visitors.

The seal has been created to enable users to clearly and quickly recognise transport services that comply with current regulations and provide verified guarantees. Based on the principle that responsible mobility is an integral part of caring for the island, the initiative seeks to enhance safety, transparency and trust in regulated transport, while also safeguarding Ibiza’s reputation as a quality destination.

The president of the island council, Vicent Marí, emphasised that the project reflects a clear vision of destination management, where service quality is essential to both the tourist experience and everyday life on the island. He noted that ensuring legal and professional transport is not merely a matter of regulation, but a strategic choice aligned with the long-term model of Ibiza.

The Verified Transport Seal includes a digital verification system based on a QR code that allows users to confirm the authenticity of a service in real time. By scanning the code, users can access official information such as the operator’s license, its validity, inspection status and a dedicated channel for reporting incidents. The system is designed to support quick and informed decision-making, offering reassurance through the use of verified services.

This initiative also forms part of the Council’s broader efforts to combat illegal transport activities, which create unfair competition, harm compliant professionals and may negatively impact safety and service quality. The approach combines enforcement with shared responsibility and clear information, empowering both residents and visitors to make informed choices.

The Consell Insular d’Eivissa positions this project within its wider strategy to advance towards a more balanced and sustainable tourism model, founded on quality services and responsible territorial management. Promoting legal and verified mobility is therefore a key element in building a safer, more organized and more sustainable island.
