The Govern de les Illes Balears has intensified its commitment to the business ecosystem throughout 2025 by providing training, guidance and advisory services to entrepreneurs, self-employed professionals and companies across the islands. These actions have been implemented through the Agencia de Desarrollo Regional de las Illes Balears, an entity under the Ministry for Enterprise, Self-Employment and Energy.
During the year, ADRBalears delivered personalised support to 796 entrepreneurs, freelancers and companies, addressing a wide range of business needs, from launching new initiatives to company growth, restructuring and expansion into international markets. A significant milestone has been the sharp rise in demand for internationalisation support, with a 155% increase in requests for information and advisory services related to foreign market access.

The Government of the Balearic Islands strengthens the business ecosystem by supporting nearly two thousand companies and entrepreneurs
A total of 493 individuals sought assistance to start a business project, while 151 expressed interest in transferring or taking over an existing business as part of generational succession processes. Additional advisory services focused on enhancing the visibility of local products and exploring investment opportunities within the Balearic Islands.
ADRBalears aims to serve as the central business support hub of the Govern de les Illes Balears, providing comprehensive assistance to entrepreneurs and companies, while coordinating public entrepreneurship and business policies in collaboration with local councils, institutions and economic stakeholders.
In terms of training, more than 914 participants attended courses covering topics such as business planning, sustainability, artificial intelligence applications, talent retention strategies and visual merchandising for retail businesses.
The promotion of entrepreneurship from an early age has also been a key focus, with 3,502 students taking part in educational programs designed to encourage entrepreneurial skills, highlight the value of local commerce and support generational renewal in traditional sectors.
Finally, 158 industrial companies benefited from ADRBalears support schemes, including consultancy vouchers for the development of digitalisation plans, management improvement strategies, internationalisation initiatives and the calculation of corporate and product carbon footprints, contributing to a more competitive and sustainable industrial sector in the Balearic Islands.
