A landmark event in Mallorca’s harness racing calendar
The race meeting featured a total of eight races, including two flagship events. The Gran Premio Govern de les Illes Balears, with prize money of €9,000, was reserved for the best national horses aged four and older. Meanwhile, the Illes Balears Trophy, offering €8,000 in prizes, showcased international participation.
Additional races included the Eivissa, Formentera and Cabrera prizes, alongside the Veda and Royal races for three-year-old horses from the “N” generation. The inclusion of a children’s drivers race added an educational and family-oriented dimension, highlighting the commitment to training and future generations within the sport.
Once again, this event has established itself as one of the most significant dates of the year for harness racing in Mallorca, reinforcing both its sporting relevance and its institutional role within the Day of the Balearic Islands celebrations.
