The Ministry of Business, Self-Employed and Energy played an active and strategic role in the Balearic Islands Day celebration, strengthening its institutional presence through two thematic stands that recorded sustained public engagement throughout the event. The initiatives combined energy efficiency awareness activities with specialised advisory services focused on financial aid schemes and support measures for self-employed professionals.
The Minister, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, visited the exhibition areas to gain first-hand insight into the implementation of the planned activities and the level of citizen participation, highlighting the strong public interest in both the educational initiatives and the business support services provided.

The Ministry of Business, Self-Employed and Energy promotes energy efficiency and support for entrepreneurs during the Balearic Islands Day
Within the framework of Energy Efficiency Day, the Balearic Energy Institute (IBE) coordinated an interactive stand designed to raise awareness among all age groups about energy savings, renewable energy transition, and environmental sustainability. The programme promoted technical knowledge through accessible and educational formats aimed at encouraging responsible energy consumption.
One of the most successful initiatives was the “Energy Pasapalabra”, an interactive quiz format that had already achieved notable success in the previous edition and once again attracted widespread participation. Through this engaging activity, attendees were able to test and expand their knowledge of energy efficiency, renewable sources, and sustainable practices in a dynamic and educational environment.
Simultaneously, the stand dedicated to self-employed professionals handled a significant number of enquiries regarding open calls for applications and the various financial aid programmes promoted by the Ministry. Personalised assistance enabled participants to clarify eligibility requirements, administrative procedures, and the economic benefits available to support entrepreneurial activity.
A particularly valued feature was the interactive zero-contribution calculator, a tactile digital tool allowing visitors to instantly estimate the financial amount they may receive under this measure. The calculator provided clear, direct, and personalised information, streamlining the advisory process and enhancing transparency regarding public support schemes.
Through its presence at the Balearic Islands Day, the Ministry of Business, Self-Employed and Energy reinforces its institutional commitment to energy awareness, entrepreneurial support, and the strengthening of the Balearic productive sector, bringing public services closer to citizens in an inclusive, participatory, and accessible setting.
