The Government of the Balearic Islands has implemented a series of support and monitoring measures for residents of the Balearic Islands currently located in regions affected by the conflict in the Middle East and the resulting airspace restrictions. The initiative is coordinated through the Vice Presidency and the Ministry of the Presidency to maintain direct communication with citizens who may be impacted by the current international situation.

The regional administration has begun contacting Balearic citizens who are currently in different countries across the affected region in order to assess their circumstances and inform them of the institutional support available should they encounter difficulties while abroad. This initiative aims to ensure that residents of the Balearic Islands have a clear channel of communication with their regional authorities.

To facilitate this process, a dedicated email address has been activated: balearsexterior@dgri.caib.es. Through this contact channel, affected individuals can report incidents, provide information about their location, or request assistance. The system enables authorities to gather relevant information and coordinate responses with the appropriate institutions.

In parallel, the Government has established communication with the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation to coordinate support measures for Balearic citizens who may require assistance during the ongoing situation.

Authorities have also encouraged residents to share information about this contact channel with other Balearic citizens who might be in similar circumstances, ensuring that anyone affected can access the available support mechanisms.

The Government has concluded by sending a message of encouragement and solidarity to those currently in the affected areas, expressing its hope that the situation will stabilise soon and that all Balearic citizens will be able to return home safely.
