Buildings of the Government of the Balearic Islands have displayed a commemorative banner marking March 8, International Women’s Day, as part of institutional actions aimed at highlighting the importance of gender equality.
The banner has been installed at several government locations, including the Consolat de Mar, different government departments (conselleries) and the headquarters of IBDONA, where the campaign message is now visible.

The slogan chosen for this year’s initiative is “Equality is the key match”, a phrase intended to emphasise the importance of continuing progress toward a fairer and more equal society. Through this symbolic action, the regional government reinforces the visibility of International Women’s Day and underlines the need to keep promoting equality between women and men.
The placement of the banner is part of the institutional initiatives linked to this international day, which is commemorated each year to recognise women’s rights and to promote equality across all areas of society.
