The City Council of Inca has begun its commemorative events for International Women’s Day with the traditional display of a banner on the town hall façade, symbolically marking the start of the municipality’s 8 March programme. Following this act, the Cloister of Sant Domingo hosted the reading of the institutional manifesto, delivered by representatives of CCOO and UGT.
At the same time, a range of educational activities were organised throughout the morning for students from schools across Inca. Among the initiatives was the talk and discussion “Feines lliures d’estereotips”, held at the Casal de Cultura, focusing on the importance of promoting professions free from gender stereotypes.
In addition, the Teatre Principal d’Inca hosted a storytelling session for younger audiences, while the Cloister of Sant Domingo featured workshops, games, and information stands designed to encourage reflection on gender equality and raise public awareness of women’s rights.
