Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB), a public body under the Department of the Sea and Water Cycle of the Government of the Balearic Islands, has launched the administrative process to allocate 37 base moorings for recreational vessels listed under category 7 in the port of Porto Cristo, located in the municipality of Manacor.
The procedure is aimed at non-professional recreational boats registered on the waiting list for obtaining a base mooring authorisation. This waiting list was officially published on 17 November 2022 and establishes the order of priority for access to the available mooring points in this port managed by the regional administration.
A total of 37 moorings will be offered in this allocation process, distributed according to the length categories of the vessels included in the waiting list. Specifically, four moorings are intended for vessels measuring between 4.01 and 5 meters in length, thirteen for boats between 5.01 and 6 meters, twelve for vessels ranging from 6.01 to 7 meters, six for boats between 7.01 and 8 meters, and two moorings for vessels measuring between 8.01 and 9 meters.

PortsIB begins the allocation process for 37 base moorings from list 7 in the port of Porto Cristo
The allocation will be carried out following the established order on the waiting list while ensuring compatibility between the size of the vessels and the available mooring spaces within the port infrastructure. This approach enables an efficient and organised management of port facilities.
Through this initiative, PortsIB continues to advance its strategy of transparent and structured management of moorings in ports under regional jurisdiction, facilitating access for registered users and ensuring optimal use of maritime infrastructure across the Balearic Islands.
