On the occasion of the Fira del Comerç Local de Binissalem 2026, which will take place on March 14 and 15, we interviewed the Mayor of Binissalem, Víctor Martí, to learn firsthand what this annual event dedicated to local commerce, entities, and associations in the municipality will offer.

Can you explain what the Commerce Fair will consist of?

We are very excited about this new edition of the Fira del Comerç Local, which will take place on March 14 and 15, 2026. It is a fair designed to promote local commerce, give visibility to local businesses, and provide a meeting space for residents, visitors, and associations of the municipality.

During the weekend, the streets of Binissalem will be filled with activity, with stalls from local businesses and various cultural and leisure proposals designed for the whole family.

Víctor Martí presents the activities for Saturday, March 14

On Saturday, March 14, the Fira del Comerç Local will begin with a full day of activities for all audiences.

At 10:00 a.m., the opening of the fair will take place, accompanied by a batucada, which will mark the start of the day with rhythm and a festive atmosphere.

At 11:30 a.m., attendees will be able to enjoy Circo Golosina, a show especially designed for families.

In the afternoon, the activities will continue.
At 4:30 p.m., there will be tile decoration workshops and sand painting workshops, a creative proposal that allows participants to experiment with different artistic techniques.

At 5:30 p.m., there will be a Line Dance gathering, a participatory activity for all lovers of line dancing.

The day will conclude at 7:30 p.m. with a popular dance with Dali Cebes, which will bring Saturday to a close with music and traditional dancing.

Víctor Martí presents the activities for Sunday, March 15

On Sunday, March 15, the Fira del Comerç Local will continue with new activities for families to enjoy.

At 10:00 a.m., the fair will open again so that residents and visitors can walk through the local commerce stalls and discover the products and services offered by businesses in the municipality.

At 10:30 a.m., the activity “Zumba Primeros Pasos” will take place, a session designed for those who want to begin practicing this dance and fitness discipline.

At 12:00 p.m., it will be time for the children’s entertainment show with the group Mel i Sucre, a performance aimed at younger audiences so they can also enjoy the fair.

Finally, at 2:00 p.m., the fair will close, bringing an end to a weekend dedicated to local commerce, community life, and coexistence.

Fair location in case of rain

The organization has also planned an alternative location in case of rain to ensure the fair can still take place.

If weather conditions are unfavorable, the Fira del Comerç Local will be held in the covered courtyard of the Escola Graduada, a sheltered space that will allow the commercial activity and planned events to continue during the weekend.

Traffic changes during the fair

Due to the celebration of the event, traffic restrictions and circulation changes will be implemented in several streets of the municipality.

During the fair, the following areas will be closed to traffic:

• Carrer Sa Mostra
• Carrer Concepció
• Plaça de l’Església
• Zona Cuplé

In addition, to facilitate the exit from the town, a temporary change in circulation will be implemented.

The section of Carrer Escola Graduada, between Carrer Sa Mostra and Carrer Catedràtic Llabrés, will be enabled for two-way traffic until Sunday afternoon.
