The Binissalem Local Commerce Fair continues this Sunday with its second day of activities, following a Saturday marked by strong participation and a diverse program designed for all audiences. Since the beginning of the weekend, the town centre has welcomed numerous visitors who have explored the stands of local businesses and taken part in cultural and leisure initiatives organised as part of this annual event dedicated to promoting local commerce.

During Saturday’s program, the opening of the fair marked the start of a schedule combining entertainment, family-oriented shows and participatory activities. Throughout the day, creative workshops, dance gatherings and musical performances contributed to creating a lively atmosphere in the streets of Binissalem. These initiatives helped strengthen the local commercial sector while reinforcing the fair’s role as a social meeting point for residents, associations and visitors.

The program continues on Sunday, March 15, with new activities designed for families and visitors. The fair reopens at 10:00 a.m., allowing attendees to once again visit the stands of local businesses and discover the products and services offered within the municipality. At 10:30 a.m., the activity Zumba Primeros Pasos will take place, introducing participants to this dance and exercise discipline. Later, at 12:00 p.m., the children’s entertainment show by the group Mel i Sucre will provide activities aimed especially at younger visitors. The fair will conclude at 2:00 p.m., bringing to an end a weekend focused on local commerce, community interaction and the social life of the municipality.

Organisers have also established an alternative plan in case of adverse weather conditions. If rain prevents the fair from taking place outdoors, the event will move to the covered courtyard of Escola Graduada, ensuring that commercial activity and the scheduled program can continue throughout the weekend.

Due to the celebration of the fair, temporary traffic restrictions have been implemented in several areas of the municipality. The streets Carrer Sa Mostra, Carrer Concepció, Plaça de l’Església and the Cuplé area remain closed to traffic during the event. In addition, to facilitate departures from the town, a temporary two-way traffic system has been enabled on carrer Escola Graduada, between carrer Sa Mostra and carrer Catedràtic Llabrés, a measure that will remain in place until Sunday afternoon. The Town Hall has thanked residents for their cooperation and apologised for any inconvenience caused by these temporary traffic changes.
